]]> Comment on PDS Caesar by BRIANNA http://www.gooddogscanada.com/2009/08/pds-caesar/comment-page-1/#comment-62 BRIANNA Thu, 04 Mar 2010 01:12:39 +0000 http://www.gooddogscanada.com/?p=433#comment-62 when i first saw this on the show animal miracles i was heart broken... caesar was a great dog and loving companion i think i cried for about a good half an hour becuz i lost my best friend a 4 yr old cane corso mix tht attacked a robber tht had broken into my home when i was sleeping as soon as the guy heard rosco charging dwn the stairs he ran around the house about 3 times and when i reached the top of the stairs a shot was fired and rosco was dwn my neighbor who was a cop came running over as soon as he heard it and checked on me but i was holding rosco in my arms blood everywhere jim hurried up and put me and rosco into the squat car and drove us to the vet where they said tht my rosco wont make it through the night i was heart broken and im 15 now it happened 2 yrs ago where it was 10 pm and my mom was working we had 5 dogs at the time but they were in my room rosco slept where he pleased my boyfriend came as soon as he could to confort me becuz he was a gift for my 13 birthday becuz tyler couldnt keep him so i took him and we were all shocked i think i had the whole street at the vets office they all got there chance to see roscos lifeless body in the table he was a great dog and everyone will nvr forget him and i will remember it clearly the night he risked his life for mine i no have a new puppy from tyler even tho we r not together no more we r bestfriends his friends cane corso had puppies and i just got a solid blk one named simba and he is soo gorgous ears cropped and tail docked but no other dog will ever be like my ROSCO! Dad had an incrediable memory of the three and one half years he spent as a prisoner of war (POW). If this were, say Jan.29th...he would recollect the day (be it 1942,43,44 or 45) he would then tell us, his children, the atrocities of that day. As a child of a this "prisoner of war", I remember seeing many tears fall from my father's eyes and I (at the tender age of 49)felt there was a need to ensure to keep his memory alive (as well as his many friends and commards from the Royal Rifles). My wish is to have a monument of Sergeant Gander placed in Belledune, New Brunswick along with names from the Royal Rifles (Gaspe and New Brunswick) who so vallantly fought for our freedom. I believe the Village of Belledune is a perfect location because so many of these men were from this area. Belledune NB is also geographically centered for all Royal Rifles from Newfoundland to Ontario and some eastern states of USA. My plan is to have a statue of Sergeant Gander and his fellow commardes names placed (in granite) at our Heritage Park, over looking the beautiful Appilation Mountans of Quebec. I have clearence to do this from Phil Dodrige (president of HKVA - Royal Rifles Division) and several other living Hong Kong Vets.
